Description Robert Half Contracts Finance and Accounting division is seeking a fully remote Military Tax Consultant to help with a 5-month project for a government agency. This position requires someone to have 1-2 years of Individual Tax experience and MUST be for military service members. This position is 100% remote and requires over time during tax season. We're searching for financial professionals who have a passion for helping people achieve their financial goals. We provide full-spectrum financial counseling and education, and we are specifically interested in CPAs or Enrolled Agents to guide members through tax planning. We serve a wide range of corporations and organizations across both the public and private sectors. We are currently looking to expand our pool of financial counselors, with a particular need for individuals who have prior military experience or a strong background in supporting military service members and their families. What you bring to the table: ● 4-year degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience) as well as 2+ years' experience in consumer finance or tax work (mortgages, insurance, college planning, financial aid, investments, retirement planning, estate planning, tax structuring and planning, etc.) ● Enrolled Agent, CPA, Tax Agent, or comparable certifications (preferred) ● Previous military experience or experience supporting military service members (preferred) ● Proven track record persuading clients to engage in value-added services and solutions ● Motivational skills to inspire behavioral change around personal financial habits ● Superlative listening skills that lead you to empathy and understanding ● A high level of skill and comfort with technology ● An openness to a culture of continuous development and improvement If you feel this is a good fit for your and you have a passion for helping military service members, apply today! Requirements - Proven experience in individual tax preparation. - Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations. - Proficiency with Lacerte Tax Software. - Excellent organizational and analytical skills. - Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple client accounts. - Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients. - High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. - Familiarity with identifying deductions and credits for individual tax filings.
