Salary: $50 / Hour
The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of theSpecial Education Program Administrator provides quality services to specialeducation students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has a commitmentto team participation in planning and implementation of student programsincluding special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation withgeneral education staff.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Teach core academic subjects, life skills, and social-emotional strategies using specialized instructional techniques.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and growth.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to ensure cohesive support.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
- Utilize technology and adaptive tools to enhance learning experiences.
- Promote positive behavior and social interaction through evidence-based strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's preferred).
- Valid CA teaching certification in Special Education.
- ECE, Mild-Mod, or Mod-Severe differentiation certification.
- Experience working with students with disabilities (emotional, physical, intellectual, or sensory).
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited universitypreferred
+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state,contract/district regulations
+ Minimum of one year experience in teaching environmentpreferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard ElementaryTeaching preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard SecondaryTeaching preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teachingpreferred
+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
