Role, reporting, and team support: The Lead Blood Bank Clinical Laboratory Scientist CLS will report to the Director of Laboratory Services while partnering closely with the Medical Director of Transfusion Medicine and Pathology to guide policy, quality indicators, and complex case reviews. The Lead Blood Bank Clinical Laboratory Scientist CLS will mentor CLS generalists and specialists, oversee daily operations, QC/QA, validations, inventory and vendor relationships, and perform advanced antibody identification, neonatal and maternal testing, and massive transfusion support, all while collaborating with friendly nurses and a diverse interprofessional team across the Emergency Department, Surgery, ICU, Oncology, and Women’s Services to deliver timely, precise, and compassionate care.
