Job Description

Description We are looking for a skilled Controller to join our team in North Dallas, Texas, on a contract-to-permanent basis. In this role, you will oversee accounting and financial operations for a growing construction and energy efficiency company. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, and reporting, while driving process improvements and scalability within the organization. Responsibilities: - Prepare and deliver accurate monthly financial statements, dashboards, and budget-to-actual reports. - Lead forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, and performance analysis to support strategic decision-making. - Present financial results, trends, and insights to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and actionable recommendations. - Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate month-end closing processes. - Mentor and develop finance and accounting staff, fostering growth and improving team capabilities. - Support financial system integrations and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. - Establish and maintain internal policies and controls to ensure compliance and financial excellence. - Partner with operations and project management teams to maximize profitability and cash flow across various projects. - Conduct detailed financial analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, driving cost efficiencies and improvements. - Work closely with auditors and consultants to ensure compliance and maintain financial transparency. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. - At least 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management. - Expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP& A), budgeting, and forecasting. - Strong knowledge of U.S. construction accounting principles and practices. - Experience in the construction and energy efficiency industries, including solar energy, is highly preferred. - Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Spectrum software. - Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills. - Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
